Bitcoin Mining Rack v2

The first design had a few flaws, and ultimately fell short of providing a movable rig.

I came up with a list of improvements:

• Motherboard support
• Power supply support
• Hard drive support
• Stackable
• Easily Movable
• Smaller

Design

I took the design to the next level in Fusion 360 by laying out all of the pieces virtually. This allowed me to better test fit pieces and find out what was going to work and what wasn’t without cutting or printing a single piece.

 

 

 

Making it a Reality

Now that everything had been designed, just a few steps remained. I started by printing the parts that I had designed in Fusion 360. The print turned out really well and only took a few hours. I cut the metal pieces to length while I was waiting for the print to finish. Once I had all of my parts, I started the assembly process. The end result turned out to be better than expected.
